Subcontractors

Generally, our in-house staff takes care of the project services. However, in addition to our regular team, NTC uses subcontractors from time to time. This usually happens when we have a pressing deadline or need specialised skills.

NTC works with a select group of subcontractors, and all projects are monitored for compliance. Before declaring a job complete, all work completed by subcontractors is assessed to ensure that the work meets NTC’s high-quality standard.

The NTC Management Team

Even the very best employees need direction. Fortunately, NTC has several managers who are dedicated to directing us to meet our exceptional standards.

Jason Varcoe

Jason is NTC’s Managing Director and a Chartered Professional Engineer. Jason has experience in all facets of the industry, including geotechnical engineering, stormwater damage and earthworks. He has worked overseas in Christchurch and London for a number of years and earned his BE Civil at Canterbury University in 2004. Jason’s knowledge and abilities have helped NTC’s management systems to grow to the levels required by large resource clients.

Mike Whale

Operations Manager, Mike is an accomplished and versatile project specialist with nearly 20 years of experience in the mining and civil industries. Mike has developed extensive experience across the Pilbara, Goldfields, and Midwest regions and leads NTC in its day to day operations

Leigh Varcoe

As HSEQ Systems Manager for NTC, With underpinning by Donesafe, Leigh has developed the NTC HSEQ System into a fully functioning living ecosystem.

Jeremy Den Ridder

As NTC’s Plant Supervisor, Jeremy’s years of experience on all shapes and sizes of Plant has equipped him with valuable insight to oversee NTC’s fleet. Jeremy as also been a part of most major construction projects throughout the Pilbara so is well versed in working on remote sites for all clients..

Eugene McAlpine

Superintendent, Eugene has been with NTC for since 2015 and is responsible for overall coordination of staff, planning of work schedules in our Onslow Operations.

Jason Dowling

Superintendent, Jason keeps the our key contracts running on time and budget constantly shuffling people and resources to manage the ever consistent works scopes.
